ML Automatic Door Locking Option

ML Automatic Door Locking Option

Postby Tritium on Fri Jun 09, 2017 10:48 am

Does anyone know if there is an automatic door locking option that can be set or activated on the ML Triton (my09). That is where the doors will automatically lock when the car gets to 20kmh - common on Hyundais. There have been a few attempts to gain entry to cars at intersections/lights in my region of late.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Cheers. Had a good look too but could not find it. A search of the internet appears to indicate that Mitsu has not offered this function on Tritons (or most of their other models) til just recently.

Just flick the lock on your door when you get it. All locked, bloddy grubs out there I want a program so that if someone trys to get in 8million volts shoots into there eye & they lay on the road blinded. Seems to be getting worse.

One of my wife's clients was lucky to have the latest Passat, which prevented a creep hopping in at the LV Hospital car park.

Wouldn't be hard to rig a circuit to detect the pulses from the speedo signal and operate the central locking automatically.

Two stage unlocking is also a brilliant feature.

An override switch would be useful.

Car defense: when the unwanted approach your car doors, a steel bar whipping out from under the vehicle to take the bugger's legs out would be good.

Whilst good in those cases, I'm personally not a big fan of being locked in the car.

Nightmares about being trapped inside a burning car etc :o

Everything has pros & coins. Fast glass can be a killer, passengers can't open a window when the ignition is off. Put this together with auto locking cars ( I think there was a case where people couldn't get out of a bimmer a few years ago).

One thing that's becoming more apparent is the need for manual bypasses to the electricery.

One thing I find a bit of a racket is the need for a stealer to set features that are already part of the cars software.

It would not be hard to make how the wipers work or doors lock selectable by the owner.
