MN trip computer in ML?

Postby McTriton on Mon Jan 15, 2018 4:35 pm

Wanting to do a couple of things, but first, I need to know if an MN trip computer will plug and play into my ML?

I've searched for weeks and can't find an answer

Cheers

If it is a low spec triton then no. Missing a lot of sensors.
If its a glxr than you will be a trail blazer afaik

ML is a VR, so nearly top spec. I'll just have to try it I guess lol

Why the need?
The Be should have one is it broke? If broke better to replace with another ml one.

I think that either the plugs are not the same or something like that been ages since talked about so a bit rusty, but I’m sure it’s not plug and play between models mn and ml

I also like the look of the mn over the ml unit - ml display is so wanky.

Problem may be compatibility with the ETACS unit.

I'm just not skilled enough to fit the ML one in the single din slot

From memory the ml has the compass unit on top of the main unit.

If you weren't that fussy about that function, I think there's enough slack in the cable to drop it behind the main unit.

Did anything ever come from this?

I'm looking to double din my ML but want to maintain the trip computer.

Aerpro has a kit to do this but only for MN models unfortunately.

The ml and mn dash bits should be fully interchangeable.

Might need some modding to reuse the RV escutcheon from the ml.
