Reverse Led lights

Reverse Led lights

Postby jstoeckli on Tue Apr 14, 2020 8:36 am

Hi guys, please dont shoot me if im asking a question that has been asked before but i searched and searched and couldnt find exact answer.

Does anyone know if i can tap 2 x 10w led work lights straight into reverse light power on 2013 mn triton, if i swap out the the standard w16w filament globes for led equivalent? Does anyone know the load limit on the reverse wiring?

Really trying to avoid relays/switches and additional power back to battery etc.

Many thanks in advance

The problem is not that you'd be exceeding the rating for the circuit, but rather that you'd be well under the normal load if you just swapped the standard bulbs for LED.

Standard reverse bulbs are 21W. If your replacement bulbs are around 10W and the worklights 10W each then the load (20W) would be much the same as if the standard bulbs were still there.

Should not be a problem.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?
