Airbag Warning Light

Hmm, had the battery disconnected, so might see if it clears itself today.

OBD2 is the comms port under the dash. Its where people plug in scan gauage, ultra guage, and the new throttle drive from Chipit.

Whenever I disconnect the battery and something is plugged in to the port I get the warning light. Disconnect the guage and restart a few times and it clears the warning light.

Probably only applicable if you have something plugged in though.

Ya, that doesn't sound like it. I did run a cable under the dash down the passenger footwell, so I might have hit something... Hmm.

Into the dealership. Replaced the click spring under warranty... No more light. Hope it stays that way...

Would any of you guys know the part number for the ML Triton glxr airbag clock spring. Pretty sure mines gone but Mitsi on the goldcoast has been pretty unhelpful, wont even provide a price or part number. Bit disappointed with them given I haven't vented at them over anything.

Have since been PM'd by simone the Mitsu community assistant, she was unable to help but only due to being in QLD not Adelaide.
I then PM'd Lee-thal who works closely with mitsu. Within a few hours I had my part and some good service.

Edited to add the resulting help and tone down my temper.

Ask the dealer about the "new wiring loom" you read about on the Internet.

There is no new wiring loom for it,

still a poor contact issue in connectors,

My car was at the dealer all day for the third time today. They have temporarily cleared the fault and are ordering a new cab wiring loom. Its a big piece of work and will require the car for a whole day or more. Likely to have carpet and seats out. I am so pissed off, the car is 6 months old and has only travelled 6, 000km.

Five weeks later and the dealer said that they are still awaiting approval from Mitsubishi Australia. Enough of my local dealer, I am dealing with Mitsubishi Australia directly now.

Had the truck in for air bag light that came on last week. All fixed happy now. MY 2011 2.5 t/d. apparently there is a hot fix for this light coming on, i think it is the ECU connector one of the pins are misaligned, only took a couple of hours, good service from local dealer. I was warned that if the air bag light is on that the SRS system is inactive - NO AIRBAGS deployed in an accident.

I've got my MN MY11 booked in on Thursday for the airbag light. They looked at it last week and have said they need to remove the roof lining inside the car??? WTF??? I've also asked the guy to look into why it knocks at the front end sometimes under braking. It's been nothing but trouble this f###ing car!!

Roof lining suggests a fault with the curtain air bag. I'm assuming they've done that because there was a fault code pointing to it?

I had my air bag light come on a few weeks ago, I noticed it on the way home from getting the hail damage fixed from the tornado. I put it done to the repairer pulling a fuse. The next morning the battery was flat so I put it on the charger and give it a good charge for 24 hours, I though the fault may have cleared when I hooked it back up but, no luck. The repairer assured me they hadnt touched anything so of to the local Dealer (Baker Motors Albury). Turns out I knew the the guy behind the counter as I sold our work car to a few months ago, anyway he said they had fixed a fair few tritons with loose or misaligned connectors under the console or dash so they would check it out. Picked it up later that day and asked how they went, he said that the connectors were fine and that they had to clear a really unusual low voltage alarm on the air bag system, they hadn't seen it before, but thats waht came up on the computer. The look on my face told the story, hmm interesting I said, just happened to have a flat battery the other day, I told them, that would be it then. That was about 3 weeks ago, light is still off.

Hi all
ML 2009 glxr

Possibly a coincidence ,had intermittent reverse lights and rear camera (camera triggered by power to reverse lights)
While trying to identify fuse for reverse lights, also had ignition on and of and battery disconnected.
Soon after in the car started up and srs light remains on
I believe the srs uses power fro same fuse .

Ute was booked in for a service before an upcoming trip, local auto dealer ,have used before and well recommended . Local only Mitsubishi dealer will charge $140 ( min 1 hour) to scan.

Discussed with the auto shop when dropped of for a service,
Picked up the vehicle, was told no codes were read, light was cleared. However when I started up to drive away, light was once again on

Strange.

Does anyone know of a reputable scanner that can read and reset srs codes on Glr. Ml
Two or three visits to a dealer would pay for one, and yes regarding warranty,as I have extra relays fuse box dual battery and such, I can just imagine Mitsubishi dealer being helpful ha ha

Cheers
