Please explain how you changed the leds.
They are surface mount are they not.

I'm in the same boat, my 2 dash light globes where my ac heater are have blown, I purchased some T5 led globes, I took off the heater buttons out to gin access to the globes, pulled out alright with my thin nose bent tip forceps, but trying to place them into the black housings seems to be too loose... it took my forever to get them in, they light up but they fall out...it's like the black housing is to loose...i've lost 2 or 3 globes dropped in there somewhere...it looks like its a small tray inside there, but every 10-20th time i tried fitting the globes, i'd lose another globe...have no idea where they went...after 1 hr getting dark, the 2 i finally got in here fell out when I clicked the heater controls back in grrr...I tried to look at the pictures posted on here of the tools used but they must of expired....

can anyone help me or tell me what I'm doing or need to do to get this right...I've never had these lights work since I purchased my ML.. when they were on, they looked great
