Does anyone know where to buy aftermarket fuses apart from the local stealer?

They are a very small unit.

Scuba - Think you'll find they are the same as used in most late model ATVs - try a Yamaha or Suzuki shop, or any good auto sparky should have spares........

Trust me - its a good idea to carry spare ones........

Multimeter is handy too. Indicator fuse is in the black fuse box next to the battery.........

Tip # 1 - Avoid stress & grief & low resale values with vehicles - do it once - do it right, buy a HILUX!!

Tri I have tried a lot of auto shops including Jaycar & they have not seen anything as small as these.

I have not been to the stealers due to the price they would proably charge.

HC you must have had a problem to tell me where the indicator fuse is.

Ummm - yip, I did.....................

(If ya have the stereo cranked up, & 'think' you are indicating with 'indicator stalk' (because it WAS definitely working 2kms prior) - don't just assume it is working............!!! (Long story - sure ya get the idea...!!)

just picked up a box from autobarn last week, the guy in there said they had just come in. $40 for about 60 assorted fuses or $4 for 5

I've blown the 12v outlet (my fault) & the brake light fuse went last week

I got mine awhile ago and had to go through the stealer for them. I think they were expensive but when I say expensive around $1. I was heading outback so did not have time to shop around as I was building up my spareparts inventory of hoses, belts, fuses, etc.

Also be aware there are a few different ones to from the small clip style ones previously mentioned in this thread to 4 prong block type ones (good technical description there - not!).
