Installing Double DIN radio (Digoptions) in MN GLX-R

Ive got a 2014 MN glare with the following radio/trip computer layout.

http://brashimports.com.au/C230Tr6.jpg

Does anyone know if I need a facia kit to get this to fit? I've browsed through the pages of this thread, but there have been so many different layouts/models that all I've done is confuse myself!

Also, anyone who has experience with the dig options/brash imports units - do these connect straight up to the mitsubishi wiring, or do connectors etc need to be changed?

Thanks

what's the latest on what's good in the world of 2 din radios with the requirement for offroad mapping

I would prefer to keep ozi explorer as that is what I'm used to and have 20gig of maps, but interested in other options.

My VMS has died a slow death over the past year or so, but has finally carked it

There's one for $200 in the for sale section. Not sure what model though.

I emailed this mob last night and was informed it uses the Windows CE platform. So theoretically, Oziexplorer should work.
i was going to get the VMS unit, but can't justify the cost.

Hello Peoples , Hope you don't mind me asking this here... ( Hasn't really been mentioned anywhere else ) ..

Im wondering if my MN GLXR Radio has RCA connectors at the rear?

i see it has RCA connectors in the console box for iPod input, but since the warrior had an amp, I'm wondering if the GLXR has the ability , as i have an amp that i could install/attach to it ..

Thanks again ..

Just use an amp with speaker level inputs (high level inputs) instead of RCA's

After installing a pure android unit from a online overseas wholesaler I am far from impressed. Boot up time is ridiculous as well us usability. I am a big supporter of new technologies, but until the units can stay in standby mode so you can have access the second the engine has started.

I will be happy to buy a brand name just for that alone.

Hi there

I've installed a cheap aftermarket double din unit to my triton MN 2015 successfully with reversing camera and GPS but have been struggling to get the steering wheel controls working. My unit has the key1, key2 and gnd wires for connection but I've struggled to find the correct wires from the loom to connect too.

It seems perryano's post has identified the right wires, but does anyone know which pin is the C170 and which wires are pin 2 and 12 (saves me finding the manual and downloading it)?

I also assume that you only need to connect key1 and gnd if there are only two connectors.

Cheers

I'm not convinced you have the right plug but these should sort you out one way or the other.

Hi, I'm about to pick up a 2015 MN GLX+ and I want to replace the head unit straight away.

I have a JBS306 double DIN unit I got really cheap from JB HiFi. I want the steering wheel controls to still work.

Has anyone used a combination of these 3 to get it all to fit and work?

Will also be running a reverse camera in to the AV input.

G'day Gentlemen,
I installed a unit form digoptions on an 2015 my14 triton glx-r a couple of month ago. Firstly an awesome peice of kit, most functions worked flawlessly. However I am having some trouble with the steering controls. Apparently the buttons are too close frequency wise and I had read somewhere that you could ad a 100 ohm resister to one wire and a 200 ohm to the other of the steering control loom, (doesn't make sense to me wouldn't a 100 ohm one one work the same?) anyway has anyone tried this or have an alternate fix for not being able to use all the steering controls?

Cheers,
Daryl.

Did you ask Matt from digoptions? By all accounts he's a helpful bloke and now he's a sponsor here as well.

I've just installed the digoptions platinum unit in my 2014 my15 glx and originally had the same issue with the buttons being too close in frequency. In the steering wheel control setup screen there was a option to change from low impedance to high impedance, changing this to high has worked for me.

Gday Guys,
Ive been following the thread for a while and have a quick question that I can't find the answer for. On page 29 there is some discussion on steering wheel controls and pinout for the 20 pin connector on the back of the stereo. There is talk about a russian site that has schematics. Does anyone have the link to this site?

Cheers
