Sorry - i thought mud had a front locker, but i then checked and his profile says he would like one, so i removed it, hoping no one would notice.

Anyway enough off topic chit chat:

Zulujack has one and I thought there was a discussion at some stage so a search might yield some help.

triton based by your profile you don't have a rear locker is that correct? I'd be interested to see how you go lined up against the factory rear.

How do you like it? Is steering really that bad with it locked? What did it cost you if you don't mind my asking?

Does the traction control run with an LSD? If so you're in the same situation as our LSD tritons and you'd need to swap out the diff centres for an open diff then install a locker. Pretty pricey compared to just locking the front up.

hi guys i have been to landcrusier park a few times now and so far it as been the best mod i have done yet no rear diff lock when i got the triton it was for my wife and didnt think about rear diff lock but ended up buying another car for her so i got this one

the steering is fine as you only turn it on when u need it and when you need to use it your normaly going straight but if u do steer its not that bad at all . The compresser sits under the passanger seat and it dose not run all the time every second use of the locker turns the compresser on for about 5 seconds then it switches off the price i cant remember but i will find out and let you all no 8-)

The compressor can go where ever you like. Mostly they are under the bonnet, and still able to feed the rear lockers. Its only air hose and thats rated to exceed the air locker requirement.

Im investing in a Lokka! I think they are more affordable as they are only $600 and if you can get someone to fit it for cheap then you might get away with it for around $850 - $900, sounds like a good option to me??!!!

Actually on the air locker line I would be interested in the routing that ARB did for you based on the fact the compressor is under the passenger seat.

In other words did they route the airline up through the firewall grommets and down to the front diff or did they drill a new hole or go down through "bung holes" already in the floor of the cabin.

Just interested as I'm looking to put the compressor behind the rear seats (if it will fit) but there is then no way to get the airlines outside the cabin (larger airline for pumping up the tyres) other then keeping the doors open.

I would rather have permant conectors off the rear bar

The ARB airlocker use high pressure air to engage the locker (about 90psi from memory) the factory lockers only require 15psi (also from memory) the factory compressor would therefore not have enough pressure to "engage" the arb air locker.

Same as you could not use the factory compressor to pump up your tyres

fair enough, how about running the factory rear off front comp? do you need an air tank for the front locker?
Also does anyone know much about detroit lockers?
