Slight Rub in the Front end

Postby ML-VR08 on Tue Aug 05, 2008 3:25 am

Hi all, just noticed over the past 2 months that i can notice a rub or something in the front of the car when going very slow...not sure if its the break caliper or steering, as its only faint, but can feel through the steering wheel. And only occurs say every 1m or so, as if its just rubbing one 1 spot...any ideas?

it's pulling left or right? how do you feel it through the steering?
Check the obvious, tape, gunk, nails etc stuck on the tyres. All wheel ballancing weights still attached?

Jack up one side at a time, take the wheel off and gently rotate the rotor... You'll feel and hear it if it's the caliper/rotor contacting...
