After speaking to Mitsubishi in lilydale it is all one part and they want $492 for a new lever. Has anybody ordered parts through Partsouq before or do you just use it as a refference to get part numbers?

Only as a reference - google the part number though as there are a few online sellers who might be viable.

I would have thought it was a warranty job if you're still in warranty with your vehicle. It's not really a consumable is it? And it broke, which it's not supposed to.

Yeah the 10 year isn't transferrable if I recall correctly.

Has anyone got the part number of the plastic bush that needs to be replaced to fix this issue?
I've 'fixed' mine twice now by removing the lever and putting it back in but would obviously prefer a long term fix if possible.

Thanks for that. I chased up Mitsubishi and they told me I could only buy the entire shifter assembly (part number 3260A106 for pre Oct 2010 build). Might try to grab the bush/plastic. It's only around $20 by the looks of it.

Great thread as my 2010 GLX-R decided to lock into 4H yesterday afternoon after trying to disengage from 4L.

Stripped down the centre console and opened up the area for a look. Ended up pulling the lever out of the housing, checked the plastic bush (intact) and cleaned the area. The vacuum hose was sound and the boots were issue free from what I could tell. Reassembled the whole lot which job took me a couple of hours.

For a mechanically challenged individual it wasn't too daunting. Thanks for everyone posting the fixes otherwise I would have been booking in to spend more money at the dealer.

Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to replace an actuator and switch (parts and labour). The stealer said I've damaged mine (probably correct) as it remains in 4H when I've moved the lever back to 2H, and I did hit a rock. His quote was $990, which seems awfully over the top.
I've upgraded my bash plates now.

Hi.

New to this site, and new owner of 2010, turbo diesel, AT, with Super-Select.

Sorry to pop up this old thread again.

I have the same issue. Transfer lever is jammed in 4H.
I removed the console, removed the knob, the rubber and the 4 bolts (Red circle in the photo) that attaching the lever assembly (Blue circle) to the transfer case... and... nothing! it seems to be "glued" with sealant REALLY hard. I tried to
separate\remove it with un-reasonable force and it is still stuck there.

Any Idea\suggestions?

A lesson for noobs - don't use the website page address for pictures. In imgHOSTR, click on the "Embed Codes" tab and select the one you want. Full image, BBCode is the usual for this forum; other forums may prefer that you only upload the thumbnail.

So, like this:

When mine got stuck, it was very hard to free it too.

If I remember correctly, I found somewhere that I was comfortable with and levered it off, (it was about 6 years ago though).
