Triton mn pushing coolant - whats the failure point

Postby scumbag on Tue May 11, 2021 2:33 pm

My 2009 triton is pushing exhaust into the cooling system, its not the egr, or anything else.

Wonder what has been the failure point

A Faulty head?
A head gasket?
or a block casting issue.

Has anyone used a complete ebay head as a replacement?

This would be the 2nd head my cars had having experienced a terrible valve train failure around 100 000km, which resulted in a reco head being fitted. its now got 212 000 km....

I understand many engines have been replaced under warranty, but mine being 2009 and self serviced im never getting a new engine off mitsubishi for free.

Wondering what other people would do in this situation, or what the actaul failure point has been for others in the past

bubbles coming out the radiator, gasses blowing coolant into and out of over flow.

Have a read through this thread, but it really sounds like its cylinder leaking past a pitted block.
