Had to change my front pads at 22000 miles.
Other than that, no probs although they could do with a bit more stopping power.

I have found them to be excellent.

I tow a 2tonne trailer twice a week and the ute handles is well, despite there being an air gap between the wires coming out of my electric brake controller and the rest of the car)

8-) air gap

I have no complaints - I regularly tow a 5.3m half-cab boat and a double horsefloat (not both at once!).

Coming down the notorious Clyde mountain (near Bateman's Bay) with the boat and ute loaded with camping gear the Triton's brakes were far superior to what I experienced in a mate's Prado towing the same boat - now that was downright scary :o

Are you having issues Galacticforce?

Cheers
Andrew

No Complaints here, I tend to let the engine do a lot of the breaking.

I'm quite happy with no issues. I do find it surprising that we still run a drum rear end. Initially I think the braking requires more weight than a lot of other vehicles but on the flip side think this is great for a 4wd offering plenty off feel.
Certainly strong enough and up to task

Ralph, mine was like that when I got it, but I reckon its because the rear brake shoes were adjusted fairly tight ex factory. With no load on rear, it used to make the ABS kick in on slippery surfaces. Doing a few thou kms, & changing the tyres to something decent, made it really good, which it still is.

Sometimes, mine gets over 2.5 t behind it, which it tows better than what my last Landcruiser did. Still stops ok when loaded up, but IMHO - the brakes tend to lack 'feel' a bit.
Tip # 1 - Avoid stress & grief & low resale values with vehicles - do it once - do it right, buy a HILUX!!

Well this is the first vehicle that I've had that has had ABS and compared to an F100, this stops on a pin!

Haven't towed with it yet, normally a few trail bikes on a double wheeled trailer. Electric trailer brakes fitted but not yet tested.
Spent most of my money on booze, women, guns, utes, motorcycles, fishing & boats.

I wasted the rest!

I reckon the Triton brakes are good too, ABS can come in a bit early. At least I know the ABS is there.. I regularly tow 2.3!!+ ton never had an issue. Definitely better stoppers than my 80 series and that had upgraded rotors.

Brakes are great and don't have ABS fitted.
Towing is pure pleasure. Caravan weights in fully loaded with water tanks full from weigh-bridge certificate at 2,200kg. Power/torque is incredible when you slot it back from 5th to 4th and you have to watch it does not accelerate going up the hills.
If anything happened to this Triton, I would go out and buy another Triton 3.2 without hesitation.

DONT fit a HaymenReece towbar as they are crap compared to the genuine Mitsubishi towbar kit which includes all the wiring, relay set for Canbus wiring. The Mitsi towbar from design and construction is among best seen, and wiring setup and instructions are the best I have ever seen.
The HaymanReece towbar is incredibly poorly designed and constructed, fitment is disgusting, holes don't line up, bottom chassis plate has 5mm gap, only has 3 bolts against Mitsi 4 and HR has no inside cheek plates like Mitsi has. Mitsi towbar is 100% over HR.
Mitsi towbar is a cinch to fit with instructions supplied and wiring all done. Don't let dealer charge any fancy fitment price as you could easily do it yourself.
