i am wondering if it is a more recent MY13 development. it was quite obvious on the test drive and would almost undoubtedly be a software adjustment.

As someone who purchased the old version but didn't put it in, knowing that they've identified the problem and developed a solution for it, I would have expected them to contact me and offer a replacement at no cost to me. It's not like it would have been hard for them to track down their customers, particularly since I did my order by email with Rodney who seems to run the joint. If I'd put it in and it had done damage as it has with you, Snowie, Trumpy and who knows how many others, I would be livid.

I am sure some non 'Newtriton.net' people would have this mod done...?
It is only fair..... Like a recall for a faulty item in a new car really....
Snowie yes in VIC there is the 'Office of Fair Trading', 'Consumer Affairs', as well as the national ones, for extreme cases we have 'VCAT' which is a court mediation or 'hearing' before a Magistrate.
Lots of avenues, but the first option is always contact the supplier, they may be helpful ?

completely agree on the last line. how they react to this most recent saga will be completely in their hands. On a little side note as i live in NSW but i purchased (and they installed) the equipment at their premises in Melbourne, would i have to go through the Victorian OOFT or the NSW Dept of Fair Trading?
