Spoke to one of the supliers up here on the e-locker and he reckons

it's only a couple of month's away from the shelve's 8-) he reckons 4/8 weeks...ill

put my money on early next year ;)

As it's still under development  as they have some vehicle's testing the

product. So sounds like the E-locka is getting closer :) Anyone else know of anything on this :?: :?:

Really starting to lean towards this one...

My choice would be e-locka front and keeping the LSD rear... no ASC/TC on my buggy.

I was charged 4hrs labour when I had my Lokka fitted ;) so I'd say that would be about right

funny thing is that the Mitsubishi pajero runs the same sized front diff from 1989 to now (since the 3.0 V6 petrol replaced the 2.4 petrol)

8" high pinion

I cannot guarantee that this will fit- but it might be worth a call ;)

BTW the ARB locker fitment/ application guide lists the same code (RD110) for all lockers since this date

I presume TJM and ARB are similarly priced, looks like some research in the two to see what the difference is.

I was charged standard install price (can't be bothered working out the discount) told one day but took 2, failed shortly after and was repaired in 2 or 3 days can't remember. No charge to me although the tried to blame me for apparently hitting my diff on something :?

Been ok ever since but honestly haven't used it much :-(
I'm not so good with the advice  ... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment???

It SHOULD be the same, just like it is for the ARB locker for the Pajero & Triton. 8-)

My air locker was installed in half a day, and charged 4 hours labour plus consumables (oil, seals etc)
This was a diff specialist with 4 hoists and lots of big 4wd's with their diffs apart. Mine looked like a toy next to them.
They did not sell me the locker, either. $550 inc GST.

I installed the compressor & loom, that would have been extra $$ they informed.
Never have had a problem with my locker install. They had a 1 year warranty on their install, separate from the ARB warranty on the locker components.

So options for FRONT now:
4wdsupplies- air locker
ARB- air locker
TJM - air locker
4wdsystems- lokka (constant locked)

e-locker...  that will never happen, they been saying 4 weeks for years now!

you had better redefine that Geek. To "i have never had a problem with the locker install that OTHER people did".

I had my front ARB locker installed at Macquarie 4x4 (near windsor in sydney) and been very happy with no problems except the compressor rocker switch broke and the end fell of the air hose where it fits onto the tyre valve. i drove it in to them one day on my way past and Duncan replaced both on the spot, with a smile and apologies. Definitely recommend them. also i can not turn on my compressor for WEEKS and then turn it on and it wont run due to enough pressure. does not lose ANY air. 8-) 8-)

Yeah I stuffed (well maybe it was me) the loom install. A wire came loose behind the switch? Thanks to one of the bright sparks - Jop - who traced that for me!

That is not a mechanical failure, snowie, that is a geek failure. I have plenty of them.

Yeah thanks 26.
I have a SMALL air leak too, from not using a paste seal on the fittings, there is some liquid thread sealant (documented in the kit) I found elusive to acquire, so used plumbers tape instead..
Does not interfere with locker at all, just means the compressor talks to me more often. Reminds me to turn it off. :P

Pretty sure that sealant is loctite 701. Don't quote me on the number, I haven't bought it in years...

Any air suspension supplier or truck parts shop should carry it. I'd imagine any pneumatic dealer as well like ended or pirtek.

I just used gas tape, don't need much of it either. Mine hasn't leaked either, was very surprised at how often geeks went on and off.

have ordered f & r ARB air lockers to go in the new Triton GLX, couldn't get a factory locker with the side and curtain airbags anymore apparently? Car arrived yesterday to dealers, so now for the wait for all the bits to go on....

Anyone had issues with front lockers/cv's with std suspension heights? Or how far lifts can go before risks of cv's popping gets silly?

I've seen a mention or two to Kaiser Lockers. Anyone have any experience with them in the front of the Triton? Apparently Mitsubishi Brazil has approved it as an authorized replacement part and even done some tests on it with great results.

Stay away from auto lockers. I had a lokka in the front smash and blow a hole right through my diff casing on the weekend. $440 for a second hand diff plus $1220 for an arb air locker like the rear plus now for fitting price. Shouldn't of tried to cut corners in the early days...
