Factory Rear Diff Lock?

Can you still get the Factory rear diff lock installed for $500 or whatever it is even though you bought the vehicle 12 months ago and its done over 20000kms? Will they put it in the Cab chassis model?

Do they work well?

They can't be fitted as an accessory. The only way to get one is if you order it on a new vehicle.
You might want to see about getting an ARB front locker.

One stealer told me it was a $1500 retro-fit, two others told me it can't be retro'd... I reckon a front locker would serve you better anyway - if the lsd in the newy is half as good as in my '03...

The LSD is pretty damn tight IMO but I wont bother comparing it to the locker.
The locker can be retrofitted but its a big job since you have to remove the lsd and fit a new pinion etc so $1500 would not get you there.

Go the front locker as said above. Unless you're doing hill work a front locker plus rear lsd is better than an open front with locked rear from what I've been told (which makes sense to me).

It cost 700 dollars for one in my GLX-R it should be delivered in August.No it cant be retro fitted is only fitted at he factory.

I am of the understanding with the factory one it would be an axle replacement and got told 4k
