You only cut out the muffler? If you delete cat you will notice the difference.

//NOTE: All of this is illegal. Like AG9111 has said you need to ensure cat and muffler are installed. There are after market mufflers and cats of high flow that give a nice note on say a 3" system. Here is a noise to whet your appetite. You may even hear a little bit of "dose" although with a less restrictive panel filter it is much better.

here is the street filter info:
stainless steel re-useable 60micron filter . Not recommended for off road Dusty areas , Street/Strip Filter . (around $115 from chipit-forum sponsor)

Factory race pipe.

Postby TUFF TROOP on Wed Feb 08, 2012 8:19 am

I'm running 3" stainless dump pipe into 3" mandrel bent exhaust all the way. No mufflers or cat converters in my ml 3.2 . The sound is to die for, had stock pipe with no mufflers and cat and didn't sound nice at all.

Evening fellas, I've been contemplating this mod for a while so I finally took the rear section of my exhaust off in a trial to see if I could deal with the sound and it sounds like a tractor! I'm not too keen on cutting up my muffler if it's going to be obnoxious like it is.

Someone please tell me the good news that it's going to quieten down a little once I fit the rest of the pipe up! Plus I'm not getting the pigeon sound either...
