Side Mouldings

Side Mouldings

Postby 4wd26 on Fri Aug 22, 2008 6:26 pm

I paid a visit to the local dealer today and walked away with a few goodies.

Now those people with "cool silver" rejoice as the mouldings are already colour coded to the vehicle.
Everything needed is in the pack. The fitting sheet could not be easier to read and fitting was a breeze.
Includes all measurements required.
*about the only thing to be wary of is fitting to correct side of the vehicle (as the moulds are raised and will not align if you don't follow the instructions*

These are the back door moulds and the instruction sheet

Front door moulds, the instruction sheet is 6 pages but that includes instructions for the single and club cab as well as the dual cab.

Finished, all up about 1 hour labour and $115 inc GST. (as an aside a different dealer wanted $360 fitted!!!)
Thanks go to "Mule" as he had some fitted at delivery and I found out (confirmed that they were silver in colour)

Its now ready to tackle the shopping centre- the place I'm most likely to pick up dings and scratches.

Now for the interesting bits.
Part Numbers:
MZ313630 (single cab ute)
MZ313631 (club cab)
MZ313632 (dual cab)
Getting Out There

I just fitted them...lucky my ML is Cool Silver as well.
Given the dimpled effect, I suspect that they would be dificult to paint.
What other goodies are available from the stealers that aren't listed on their web site?
I thought I read somewhere that clear side indicator lenses were a genuine part. Is that right?

Previous model GLX-R Tritons had clear side indicators - I had to get mine from OS and modify the bulb socket to get them on, but it's possible the same could be done on a set from an '06 Triton
