Hi all. Newbie to the site and this was a holder I was looking for but couldn't find. Can I get the link to the eBay seller as I don't seem to be able to see it anywhere (maybe a tapatalk2 issue?) in the thread.

Hi all,
finally got around to fitting up the pillar pod from the group buy. was a little dissapointed when it didn't fit up at all to the MN. anyway got over that quickly and started out to make it fit. didn't want to hack up the original trim too much so the pod trim became the sacrificial part. to cut the story down  i will make it short and sweet with photos.

firstly had to size up the 2 trims to match up and not look like a cut and shut

plenty of time went into shaping the edges to fit nice and snug, also had to cut out small area on original trim

once i was happy with the fit i drilled some small holes from the back side of the original for the adhesive to go through to the pod tim - no photo sorry. glued the 2 together with super glue this thing aint coming apart.
fitted and wired up the trim and gauges.
pretty happy with the outcome.

Nicely Done...

Would love to see how you attached it to the original trim though..

Nice neat job Paddstar 8-)

I think this will be a common occurrence, I had to modify mine slightly to fit my ML properly, although the length was fine....

tony81, used super glue from the back side of the original trim through a number of holes along the inside edge of the pod trim, sorry no photo

brodical, dremel tool with a steel angular cut bit to cut out the major part then finished off with small range of hand files.

Hi all, I just spoke with Susan from 4x4 Concepts who make the pillar pod, she knows about the problem with the MN Triton and has only just found out about it as she was told by mitsubishi that the trims are the same for the ML.

They are in the process of producing a version that is compatable with the MN with air bags , she also asked me to let the MN drivers like myself know that if they contact her she will let us know when the new version will be available and send it out free of charge to replace the ones we already have as long as it hasn't been modified already...

Susan's number is 0403 216 415

Hope this helps those who are wondering what to do

Yeah she was really apologetic about it and even offered a full refund if I didn't want to wait for the new one.

Only one other person has contacted her about it not fitting properly and she knew what the problem was straight away she even remembered me from the group buy. :) :)

Just gave Susan a call, all is good, once new (Airbag MN) trims are ready she'll swap them over.

They now have the two trims side by side so can see the differences at the top.

As above Susan told me someone from Mitsubishi said they were all the same.

A very honest mistake as can happen with any new developments (Believe me I know this  ) and will be sorted. 8-)

What gauges are they? They look sick along side the instrument cluster when illuminated
