Side Mirror Spacer

Anyone know if you can get mirror spacers to space the side mirrors out when you have a tray on ?

Haven't heard of them but that would be pretty cool. You'd probably have to lengthen the wiring harness as well so it's unlikely to be an easy plug and play.

Yes they are available

Spacer assembly (MI-MR935627, and 628)

around $200 each, very easy fit up have seen the instructions, no I don't have them

thought they might be wide enough for caravan mirrors ;) but the price put me off.

Cool - how far out do they space, do you know? Doesn't look much.

Hmm, just found the instructions online, might upload the PDF later unless someone beats me to it:

Figure E in the PDF, only looks like around 15mm

might be enough to get around the front tray edge and a bit better visibility, but for my intended use the maybe gains weren't worth the $$$

that was also my thought, haven't got around to it though

it really is only a spacer, and should be better looking than a set of clearview mirrors

Yea mate I have them would be about 40 to 50mm spacer, picked them up of ebay for about $70 the pair, well worth it for the tray.
Easy to install took about 10mins.
You could probably find some with a 3d printer to make them for you.

Ok thought I would do a quick write up for fitting these spacers I picked up off tuff troop....

1. Remove black plastic cover by pulling down and out at same time. This came off surprisingly easy.

2. Unplug mirror harness and undo 3 10 mm nuts on inside of door. Hold mirror once loose as it can fall off now. Remove mirror.

3. Screw on bolt extenders and put spacer in placeClick to view larger pictureClick to view larger picture

4. Hold mirror and spacer back on door, then replace 3 10mm nuts and tighten. Do not over tighten as it's easy to crack the plastic.
Plug in wire loom and replace cover. Your good to go.

Such an easy job, took me 15 mins to do both sides.

Lots of extra wires going into the mirror loom plug that don't go any further on the glx? Maybe for heated mirrors and an indicator on the mirror? Not sure if these are options but def. seems to be more wires than just what's needed to run the power mirrors.
