mn surge when idling?

mn surge when idling?

Hey there I have a 2011 mn 2.5td and when it idles it surges I have notice this since I have put shell diesel in it the other day, not sure if that would effect it or not if anyone have any ideas please help

Sure its not the AC kicking in and out? Makes the rpm go up and down fuel from any brand should not do anything to rpm at idle.

Air con? Im pretty sure its not on in the car, just goes up and down around 900-950 rpm but does stop after a drive

Automatic choke if its when you first start the car up
I only drink on days starting with T... Today and Tomorrow

Petrol station might have just filled it's tanks therefor stirring up all the crap. You might have dirty fuel.

Yeah it is normally when I first start the car up, I found out they filled up there tanks that morning

Mine sits at 750 and when the ac kicks in goes to 950 and down again a few seconds later. When cold it sits at 800 for the first few min then down to 750 again. Took me a while to figure out why i had these surges, so switch the ac off no more random rpm hikes.

If the ac is off it's most likely the EGR kicking in
