ml triton 3.2 tdi air con belt replacement

ml triton 3.2 tdi air con belt replacement

Postby cafa on Sat Feb 13, 2016 2:58 pm

Hi\
I hope some one can shed some light on changing the fan belts.
I sourced a dayco replacement belt kit,the air con belt replacement part is 13a0900 and it is about half inch smaller than my oem.
I have spent about 2 hours muckig around trying to fit ....nut it is too short.
I have searched on ebay for other belts and they are all the same part number as the Dayco...
am I missing something..I undo the tensioner pulley and drop it down, old belt just slips off...but the new one will not fit over crank ,air con and tensioner pulley...
HELP ..
Marc :x

I bought a similar kit and the dealer mechanic was able to fit one of the two belts but not the other. Good chance you're in the same boat and need another belt.

your tensioner must be bigger than 88mm od
as the dayco suppier states it to be the right one
so it is only the tensioner size that must be different
pls measure it outside diameter
Read this First ;) ;)Then still cant find what you are after
Use this Second ;) ;)Then still no Joy Go Here
Look in this thread 8-) 8-)

So are people still having dramas with this. Supercheap, ebay and various other part sites all reference the 900 belt. As i intend on buying a complete kit, rad and heater hoses, fan belts and pulleys, or am i doomed buy the 925 belt separate and toss out the 900?
