Washer bottle mod.

Washer bottle mod.

Postby Kegsy on Wed Feb 02, 2011 5:20 pm

You blokes who have modded the washer bottle or replaced it with something different to rid your ARB bullbar of those horrid tin foil extensions, what did you do to the bottle?

Im assuming you can cut it / plastic weld it or something of the sort? Or maybe replace it entirely?

I know Alco said the TJM bar comes with a replacement bottle, but before I try and get one of those from TJM I thought maybe there is something cheaper / easier.

Thanks in advance.

I cut mine and then fiberglassed over the top. Had to fiberglass the whole bottle to seal it as fiberglass does not stick to the plastic. Prick of a job but sealed it in the end. A couple of guys have cut then plastic welded the base on. used the offcut to make the base then used strips of the offcut to use as filler material.; Used a big soldering iron to do the fusing. Seemed to work for them and would be better than the fiberglassing method

I agree with Naff, did the same by replacing the washer bottle with earlier model Triton/Pajero with pump motor and made up a bracket to hang on the left side of engine bay and it works a real treat!!

Np - it is in the passenger guard of the pajero - so it is long and thin.

Just remember to plug the breather hole in the top of it.

You will need about 2/3 metre of clear tube to connect factory filler to paj bottle and the paj pump pulls out to fit the triton pump.

Search ''washer' i guess for thread with pics ;)
