Try not braking the clips on the front grills! It's not easy!  I was lucky I had Ratstriton there to help!

Thanks.

I am trying to fit the following:

http://www.bushranger.com.au/x_bar.php#.TpokG3FQM6U
http://revoperformance.myshopify.com/co ... gold-round

Figuring ways to secure the bar, so that the lights do not bounce too much.

Any suggestions.

Don't have a nudge bar? Can pick one up second hand in real good condition for cheap!

The light bar you linked is designed to fit under existing number plate. The Triton front bar has two securing bolts which run through the plastic bar and into the steel reinforcing bar underneath. These are hidden behind the number plate and run into captive nuts on the back of the steel bar. Should be no need to take the bar off your car. The only concern with mounting lights on these little light bars is vibration at the top of the lights.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Mate ... are you sure you want to run that bar ? Looks a bit ... hmmm .... ;)

If you can wait a week or two and if you are around SE QLD - I should have a nudge-bar available soon...

If you desperately want something like number plate style then check out Super Chp - their branded unit sells for around $20 - $ 30 at times.

Nudge bar would provide a better mount.

Thank you very much guys. I managed to get the x-bar securely mount (via 4 screws) to the reinforcement bar behind the bumper.

Is the removal of the front bumper for ML-MN the same as for MQ models? They look a bit different but this may be just cosmetic. I bought a copy of the factory nudge bar and the install manual says you have to remove the front bumper to cut the slots for the brackets and mounting

Does anyone know if a MQ nudge bar will fit a ML?

Wouldn't think so, different profile, and im pretty sure it comes in THROUGH the front grill on an MQ, where the MN/ML wraps under the bumper. I have a factory nudge bar off my MN for sale (pretty sure that will fit an ML). It is in decent condition. A minor ding in the front cross member, and one on the underside (cant see this one). Comes with all fixing hardware. Shoot me a PM if you are interested
