Had a seat modifer in town who does taxis make them and he also has a engineer to certifer it and make it legal cost about $800 but worth it .The seats are worth it just a little hard on the ass and I`m getting that changed next week by putting softer foam on the base but the back are really good I aslo had the guy lift the seats up 25mm and it really improves your vision so i`m happy

Excuse me for interjecting, but you paid between 1200 and 1400.00 dollars for seats to be fitted and engineered and you still have to have them re padded?? You have fitted a seat that is meant to hold the driver in place via a four or six point harness....seems to me that you do NOT drive long distances. I would have thought that having the lumbar, squab and base repacked to suit your requirements would have been a better option.........

No wallace I paid only $1200 and I need just the base cushion softened and yes I do a lot of long distance driving and have done this process before with great sucess and have had rally cars with 5point harness and would not recommend it as a daily drive as putting the belts on and off drive you nuts

Totally agree with the belt issue. back in the early eighties used to run street registered and sports sedans, the money pit dried up and so did my enthusiasm for the sport. Might be interesting if you had the base of the seat overlaid with a less dense foam.. food for thought ....I personally don't have a problem with the OE seats. The furthest I have driven in one stint is 1400klm, although I am probably a bit heavier these days that I should be. Age it's a bugger........

I agree with the age thing but 24years as a tradie doing boatbuilding thru to roofing has stuffed my back and tail bone and I just looking for that bit extra comfort thought about redoing the seats but the upholstrer didnt reccommend it and pushed to go different seats which hug the back better so I did and I`m happy they are not everybodys cup of tea but they are my rum and coke LOL

Excellant, have always been fascinated by the detailed workmanship that goes into cruisers, then again for those sort of bucks it would want to be of the highest quality. It's amazing on the little things one can find out about people on this site with a little prompting.... How is the new home market? Hope it is better than down here. At he moment the backside is starting to fall out.

Landscape supply industry, hard and soft products. Business has been established for thirty nine years. I have had the reins of both companies for the past ten years, still going reasonably well. Still working hands on in the industry although like you the back and other ailments give me grief.... sometimes better the devil you know! Take care..... how do you find the bowrider?

I just looked at your profile and saw your boat looks nice ,the bowrider got sold 3months ago as well as the ducati for a upgraded 5.8 plate half cab with a 4stroke suzuki on it and it not red its blue so no more colour matching till the next upgrade

Custom built by Quintrex, the only one of it's kind in Oz. Lots of talking with various plans etc even more to and fro but eventually they agreed to built her for me, it was well worth the time and effort and Kevin at Quintrex R/D was fantastic and oversaw the production of the hull from start to finish. Powered by Yamaha and the fitout and all the rest of the bits and pieces was done by myself over a period of three months. It's just how I want it for the type of fishing I am involved with...... BTW the new Suzuki four strokes are the leader of the pack at the moment and are being more readily fitted to hulls these days than the yammie........was the hull Trailcraft?
