What Size? 265/70 R16

Brand? BF GoodRich Baja Champion

Style? (L/T,A/T, Claws, M/T) A/T KO

Handle on Road? (Grip/noise) Excellent Grip wet or Dry.

Handle off road? (Grip/Noise) Superb Grip in Gravel at high speed.

Price per tyre? (if you want) US$ 221.50

Wear & Tear? (how are they wearing) Mixing road and gravel Rally Style driving..about 1 year.

I think if you want to go fast on road and offroad you dont need a tire that it too big in the walls. The perfect measure 265/70R16 Highly recommended for the TRITON. DONT TRY TO FILL THE GAP with a bigger tire. Get precision!

I used the 265/75 R16 for about a week and i dont like it..the steering wheel was harder and dont have the same precision.

Its not about the height or the wide its all about the grip!

Size: standard which i think is 245/70 x 16
Brand: BF Goodrich
Style: all terrain
Handle on road: fine, can be a bit slippy in the wet if you are pushing it
Handle off Road: fine, spend a lot of time on dirt roads as geologist, work ok in mud.
Wear & Tear: get about 45000km per set (6 months)
Price: 320 per tyre
Does Spare fit Y/N: yes,
Overall Diameter: ??

went through the standard duelers 40,000km, tried my first set of bfg lasted a bit longer 45,000km, then tried geolanders too soft got on first name terms with the dude in the tyre repair shop 6 flats in 6 months, now on my fifth set of bfg, do a fair bit of driving in long grass with no tracks, lots of logs and rocks etc... no flat tyres for a fair while now as the bfg seem to be a fairly tough walled tyre. could describe the compound as a little hard as the roads at work are usually sheeted with crushed basalt, the sharp edges tend to chop the blocks up resulting in replacing the tyres before they reach the wear blocks, and now that i have said no flats for a while Mr Murphy is bound to come pay me a visit

Wear & Tear? (how are they wearing) These tyres wear evenly and very easily get good km's so long as regular rotation, balance and alignments are done

235/85/16

COOPERS

DISCOVERER ST (A/T 50/50)

Very grippy on road, skinnyer tyre makes bumps a bit harder, taller profile increases centre of gravity, so the car feels a bit scary around a medium to sharp (65 to 75 kmh recommended) corner at high speeds, Loud on the road

They do have the traction in mud, bumps a bit harder, Havnt fully tested them but they are nice and grippy on road

Price per tyre? (if you want) 280.00

Does throw speedo out by 5km/h

Take into account your tyres are now bigger than stock so your trip computer will read incorrectly. True readings will have to be done via the pump and an adjusted odometer.

The old tyres i got easy 650 km from the standard tank . My trip computer has been way off from new . Even with the bad economy the tyres are good on road and great off . i paid $ 250 each .

What Size? 245/75/17

Brand? Goodyear Silent Armour

Style? (L/T,A/T, Claws, M/T) A/T

Handle on Road? (Grip/noise) Completely silent, even quieter than the stock Bridgestones. Awesome grip, cannot make them squeak in the dry, have to wait till it rains to test the wet. The tyres are very soft to ride on even with 38 psi.

Handle off road? (Grip/Noise) Limited trial but so far very good

Price per tyre? (if you want) :D $235 each ( got a great deal )

Wear & Tear? (how are they wearing) Still new, less than 1,000 klm's so far

Talking to a number of tyre dealers and owners the KM2 are getting good mileage on the black top. I had to wait 3 months for the tyres to turn up, all sorts of stories getting around...... didn't order on time (importer), didn't make enough to meet demand, outsold supply.
Road noise is less than the older M/T and not that much louder than the standard 205R 16.
The 245/75/16 size has corrected the speedo to read true ground speed(going by my GPS), the standard tyres were reading 5.5kmh too slow.
edit.. had fast instead of slow

Update
These KM2's are not wearing anything like the old mud terrains, have only done 19000km and already are half worn out on the rears. Not towing any loads and sticking to the speed limit. The fronts are starting to heal and toe and the wheel alignment has been checked.
