What Size? 235/85/16s

Brand? Bridgestone D694s LT (consider the D293 LT for a more MT tyre, larger OD and deeper tread.)

Style? (L/T,A/T, Claws, M/T) AT 10 Ply sidewall, 30mm tread depth

Handle on Road? (Grip/noise) Much better grip than stock, even in wet. Inflated to 40 PSI for everyday driving. I can only just hear them at freeway speeds, so hardly noiser...

Handle off road? (Grip/Noise) We'll soon find out!

Price per tyre? (if you want) $280

Wear & Tear? (how are they wearing) too new to tell.
OD increase over stock, 50 to 60mm.

Hey buzzy haven't tried the spare yet but i have a custom tow bar so it should fit ok. either way i have a custom rear bar with wheel holder. I know 265 with the glx-r towbar to suit tray are tight fits.

Handle on road: Excellent slightly noisy when cornering

Does Spare fit Y/N: Yes plenty of room
Overall Diameter: 813mm i think

What Size? 265/75/16

Brand? Bridgestone D694 Duellers

Style? (L/T,A/T, Claws, M/T) Light Truck A/T

Handle on Road? (Grip/noise) Happy with the on road handling (in wet too) no tyre spin. Run at 36-40psi. No noise up to 90km/hr, slight noise above if you turn down radio but definately nothing you can hear above the diesel thumping away. Wish it was a 6 spd manual.....

Handle off road? (Grip/Noise) OK - Good on the beach too.

Price per tyre? (if you want) $260

Wear & Tear? (how are they wearing) Not enough kms to comment yet.

What Size? 265/75/16 (123R)
Brand? Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor
Style? (L/T,A/T, Claws, M/T) AT
Handle on Road? (Grip/noise) Excellent on-road, grippy and quiet
Handle off road? (Grip/Noise) Very good in dry conditions, quite poor in mud, tread blocks easily
Price per tyre? $220+
Overall diameter? 31.7"
Wear & Tear? (how are they wearing) Excellent wear, now just about shot at 55,000 have been mostly on coarse gravel roads and around the farm. No chipping of lugs, no punctures. Rotated every 5,000km helped get very even wear on each tyre 8-) I would buy again, but do need a tyre that has better mud-handling ability

Size: 265/65R17
Brand: Pirelli
Style: Scorpion ATR
Handle on road: Excellent dry and wet. Low noise.
Handle off Road: Better than expected given tread pattern. Haven't done any mud work, but expect them to not be too flash.
Wear & Tear: About 6,000kms posted so far, and not showing too much wear.
Price: $330
Does Spare fit Y/N: Y

The larger diameter has corrected the speedo, but now odo and trip computer are out

Size: 285/75x16 (33.1x11.3x16) even thou they are wider than my old buckshots which were 11.7inches wide! Go figure :?
Brand: Silverstone MT117 Sport
Style: Aggressive Directional Mud Terrains
Handle on road: Pretty good surprisingly. Dont thrash it on the road, fine in the wet. Sounds like the police helicopter is chasing you between 60kay and 80 kph!
Handle off Road: Pretty impressive...awesome in mud and dry rocky tracks.
Wear & Tear: So far so good, but I can imagine them being too useful after 30,00kays. If me tyres last that long Im rappt!
Price: Got em for 245bux each, cant argue with that!
Does Spare fit Y/N: Y
Overall Diameter: 33.1 " but tread depth when new is a good 16.5mm !Nice and deep!

These are a 2 ply sidewall tyre, but the 2 ply's are very thick. Even aired down to 20psi the sidewall barely buldged but deformed good over obstacles.

MTZ, ran a thread on them elsewhere . At 22000k three from the same batch developed cracks around the bead. Replaced by the dealer. so I guess if they do the same thing in another 22k thatll be great cause ill just go back to the dealer and have another grizzle and get em replaced. They lost 5mm over that time so I predicted 60000k as a life span, had hoped for a bit more.

A lot of tyres are a lot bigger than standard (well DUH Kytty thats the point) just wondering how you guys go with regulating your speed and such and figuring out how fast you are actually going due to the change in rolling diameter hehe. At the moment its just got the stock 245/70/16's Duelers but Im trying to decide whether to drop to 15" rims to get a higher profile 31 inch tyre or just go bugger it ... stick with the 16's and swap to 33's cuz hell they look pretty wicked. ;)

Only issue is .. I have a very heavy right foot and the triton makes it very easy. So Im just curious if you guys actually use a specific number to reduce kms by or work on a percentage basis. Yes this is a kinda noobish post but .. curiosity and trying to work around the dad factor (You dont need tyres that big .. what you have works fine at the moment .. you know hehe)

Kytty,
Generaly if you put 265x75 16's on your speedo should be pretty close to spot on.
Alot of the guys have tested this with their GPS's
