They look a bit second hand now.

I have the same tyre on a second set of rims ATM (265/75/16)

I purchased these as off road and seasonal tyres so can go back onto H/T (or alike) for travelling over 1200kms a week on black top over the next few years.

I rate the K2's but are noisy as expected and do take more power to turn compared to a H/T. Run higher pressures and they ruin the ride too.

Only thing I find unusual about the K2's is, their tendency so measure up a lot narrower per given size. :?

They do perform very well off road on lower pressures.

However, are a bastard for chucking rocks up on gravel roads.

You're way to fussy Tony.

I do agree that they look a little skinny for a 265.

And yes they can be a bit harsh if you dont adjust tyre pressure for the given terrain, this is due to the robust construction I think.

Noisy? Not for mud tyre! 8-)

Given what you have put them through, I think they look great.

I brought the Wrangler Silent Armor made in USA they are a great tyre and are quiet but good in the rough stuff and mud. I did get bogged badly once but the mud was two foot deep  Done a lot of rock driving too. Mine are 265x70/16s and really happy with them. They haven't hardly even started to wear after nearly 20000Ks. The lad just brought a set of the new Wrangler A/Ts with Kevlar for his Land Cruiser and got a 95000K warrantee with them. They also do a free balance and rotation for him every ten thousand K's. Good price too at Ipswich Autocare and Goodyear dealer.
He is as hard on tyres as I am so it will be good to see how they go. :D

Running the Bridgestone 697 A/T in standard size on my 2011 GL-R.
35psi front, 28psi rear (unloaded). Wearing nice and even, looking at getting around 90000k's out of them. 60000k's out of the stock H/T's.
697 the best tyre for ride and handling on both gravel and bitumen I've come across for years, better than the standard H/T's too. Extremely happy.

It's a hard one tyre choice but hey! Everyone's got different ideas of what's good, I've had tyres on before that mates were keen as over and I took them off of my ute cause I couldn't stand them. At least I had a buyer for them but. Lol.

Cooper ST Max,

Some interesting feed back.

Running 245 75 16 on work ute 2009 colorado, steel tray
With 400 to 600 kg in the back.
Driven on 75% windy black top 100kmh to 130 kmh,
25% sharp fast dirt roads,

No punctures, quiet noisy cornering, great grip
Mud and dirt,
But only 23,000km with may be 5000 km's left

That's a great price with the trade up to significantly better tyres 8-) Should be a must do on all new purchases IMO...

What Size? 275/55 r20

Brand? Cooper Discoverer AT3

Style? (L/T,A/T, Claws, M/T) AT

Handle on Road? (Grip/noise) Fantastic in dry with good cornering grip, noise levels a little rumblier than HT's. Haven't had chance to try in any water yet (waiting for rain)

Handle off road? (Grip/Noise) tracks well on rocky and dirt roads, OK in mud but tends to hold mud in central grip

Price per tyre? (if you want) lots of $$

Wear & Tear? (how are they wearing) been on for 7000km and still looking good

Hi guys , just put a set of 17x8 black +20 offset on my 13 triton glxr with 265/70/17 km2 begs and have to say they look fantastic only just protrude from the flare and they don't scrub anywhere yet , no lift yet ,but I will be doing the ultimate lift in the near future . Wheel and tyres from Tempe tyres only cost $1400 fitted. Not bad I reckon .

Have been pondering for a while which way to go as my BFG A/T have done well over the 85000km and couldnt be happier with them. But the price was the one thing that made me look elsewhere.

So the Continental Rep has all but given me a guarantee they will last as long as the BFG and will out perform also. and also $100 cheaper per tyre.

So in time i shall see how well they go.

How are these going Lee?
Put conti's on the wife crappydore a couple of months ago and love the way they go on the black top in that p.o.s. and have been considering conti's for an upgrade to the triton...
