will 15" rims fit?

Just looking if these will fit as it open up a few more options for fitting 33" tyres (need 8" wide rims)

jacko has got 15" csa's on his (stampede i think)- it'd be a bit of 'suck and see' though i reckon. if i were buying 15's id wanna fit them up before throwing coin at them.
im thinking the same as you though- more options in 15" than 16's

Bite the bullet and make a decision Honky... Just joking. No pressure from me as I'm in no hurry.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

Can't see a problem as long as they fit over the disc rotors/calipers and rear drums.

The problem is on the front with the caliper, as its right on the outside, and pretty much scrapes on every mag i have tried, you need the right offset otherwise you cant tighten up the wheels nuts...unless you get some wheel spacers, but this is not a good option!

With regard to the offset.
do the JJ's on the rim mean anything?

I'm trying to source these rims and tyres second hand (and run 2 sets of rims /tyres)

Some of the ads mention offset of j or jj, does a j mean 10mm offset or something similar?

How do you avoid attention from the boys in blue with them that far out of the arches? ;)

4wd26- the JJ is the bead profile- you match tyre bead to suit rim bead

Thanks Cyber.
I've never had to pay too much attention in the past to offsets. And people who don't know what is going on (saying offset JJ) makes it worse.

Cheers

will 15" rims fit?

Postby High Country on Thu Jun 26, 2008 5:22 am

I had the same problem with my 04 T/D Triton - in the end, the only 15" rims I could find that would fit, were for solid front end offset - same as Hilux / Poootrol / Landcruiser...........

Ended up going 15 x 8, with 31 x 10.5R15 STT's. Was no rubbing, even on full flex.

Not the ideal option, but was only way it was gonna work.........;) ;)
Tip # 1 - Avoid stress & grief & low resale values with vehicles - do it once - do it right, buy a HILUX!!

Yeah the pootrail offset is the best for nh/hj paj as well, just the right offset.

I think you will find 15" will not fit Aussie Utes due to the Rotor size
