+40 offset rims

+40 offset rims

hi guys, I found a set of used wheels for sale, +40 rims 265 75 16 rubber. will +40 cause any rubbing issues on stuff like sway bars?

I would think they probably would, especially brake calipers. I'd check them first as even some correct offset rims can foul the calipers.

You should be right, blokes have run pajero offset which is +46
Not sure who it was maybe search pajero rim, it was a queenslander with a malamut huskie dog?

actually a few people have run these rims, no problems that I'm aware of.

note: your +40 offset it is only 2mm different to standard size

Homer has 275mm wide tyres on standard +38 rims, ask him if it rubs ;) :lol: :twisted: as that is more dirrerent than what you are asking about ;)

I'd check them first as Tritons seem to have an issue with rubbing on the brake calipers with a few other make rims.

It's worth doing before you buy I reckon...

Is this a moderator only thread ?

Only a couple to go and all moderators have replied and no other members :lol:

Definitely fit before buying, there are so many brands of wheels and vehicles out there today....

It would probably be surprising what wheels will fit which vehicles and not fit.......
