Pajero 17" alloys on to Triton 2013 GLxr running 17"alloys

Postby Steve1000 on Mon Feb 03, 2014 6:03 pm

Hi Gents
I have had a look through the forum to no avail I wish to know if 17" Pajero NP alloys will fit on to a Triton GLXR without any issues.

My aim is to have a spare set of muddies and they are a very good price

Thanks in advance

17" wheels from an NT or NW will definitely fit. Maybe NS too, but it had the smaller front calipers.

As for NP, it may have to be a trial thing. You could PM Joe - he had both Triton and NP and played around with wheel swaps.

Pajero offset is a little more positive than Triton but the difference is small, only 5mm. If you were expecting a wider stance, you won't get it.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Hi New four the 5th
Only running 245 now so not too interested in increased stance just after the ease of having a spare set of wheels for when i want to get dirty.....

Thanks for the response

:) Yeah, I saw it.

Kind of gives me an inkling of what it must be like to be a teacher. Start of a new year and just do the whole thing over again.

Anyway, that's not answering his question, which I don't have a definitive answer for, yet. My guess is that they would fit but I'd hate to say so and have him spend the money, only to find I was wrong.

I have found plenty of information that confirms Titon wheels wil fit on a Pajero but some apparently conflicting stuff going the other way. I did find one post by someone who said they had NP Exceed wheels on an NT and if that wre the case then they would be fine. Haven't been able to verify that from another source yet, though.

The big issue, for Steve's benefit, is whether the wheels have enough "dish" on the back of the spokes to be able to fit over the brake calipers at the front. Most wheels don't and the Gen 3 Pajeros had a smaller brake caliper than the Triton and later Pajeros.
