New Jungle flares and how to fill em

Postby 69_er on Wed Mar 18, 2015 3:30 pm

Ok so I have bought the Australian jungle flares that are 4.75 inches wide and I want to know what offset rim I will need in order to fill them without protruding or being too shallow ! Also I'm looking to do a steel rim in a 16x8 size ?

Depending on the width of the proposed tyre
Either a zero or-13 depending on if 305 or 285 wide tyre
Assuming you are thinking 33" diameter
Getting Out There
Sucks to be you, glad I bought a 3.2 :o

Not going to be that large of a tyre as I'm on standard suspension for now ! And I'm thinking 285

Like 4wd26 said, you'd be looking around a -10 offset for a 285.

A little off topic though I bought a set though decided against filling them. There a really thick fibreglass and depending what type of tracks you take your rig down will dictate how long they last.

There isn't any give in them so they would just crack and splinter where the factory units bend and flex.
One day your life will flash before your eyes. Will it be a good show ???

Zero offset and 33s (305) on 16x8 worked for me.
