I just spoke to my trye guy who said he will trade my tryes off my new triton (havent taken delivery yet) and replace them with Cooper ST's 265/75/16 for $180 per tyre or 245/70/16 for $150 per tyre, therefore trading stockies for $150 per tyre.

Just not sure which tyre to go for any help will be appreciated ie pro's and con's for each trye :?

I think this is a great deal either way.

The 265's will get your speedo reading correctly as it currently will read under by about 8%. The odometer (currently accurate) will show less km being done. Another good point IMO. They will also give you a lift of about 1" I think. I haven't done the maths. The 245's are the same as stock tyres; they will be a marked improvement but won't help fix the speedo or provide any extra clearance.

From all reports I've seen, there is no scrubbing with the 265's. I haven't managed to get them yet as the trouble and strife wants to wear the stockies out first. :x Go larger and you start needing suspension/body lifts and, depending on your tyre retailer, wider rims.

235/85 if you just want taller and not wider (same width as stock). That's a good deal, I sold my tyres (all 5) after 15k on ebay and got about $300 for em.

just be careful the smaller tyre may not be LT (light truck) construction, and therefore not be as strong in the sidewall.

If your going to "upgrade" you should be looking to upgrade, not have the same construction BUT better tread pattern
