Picked up some Hankook dynapro AT-M tyres today

Postby nicko_NQ on Sat Dec 10, 2016 5:12 pm

Hi guys,

Picked up some 265/70/R16 Hankook Dynapro AT-M RF10 tyres today, Jax tyres have a special 4 for 3, so really good price. i didn't go the 75 as I wanted to stay legal in QLD. 265 look a lot better than the old 245 tyres aesthetically.

I read a heap of reviews over the last couple weeks before choosing these as good all terrains (mostly road use).

Straight away I noticed the traction on dry roads was really good, with minimum tyre noise.

The Jax guy said they have been popular and are better than a lot of tyres that are more expensive. Another lad came in to get his replaced with another set, so must have liked them too.

Anyway, i'll post updates, head into the dust soon to try them out offroad.

Cheers,

Nicko.

Good to know Nicko. I'll be after new tyres soon. 4 for 3 price is always good to get in on :)

I got the same deal on their mud tyres a few weeks ago, pretty happy with them!

I replaced the stock Duelers with a set and I can't fault them.
No worries at all, wearing good after 20k+ and plenty of grip on the road. They go well on dirt and handled the sand over on Moreton well.

I'd get another set without question.

Can vouch for these. 70,000km+ on my 265/70/17's. Have taken me from Canberra all around the Kimberley and up to the Cape and only seen one puncture (a screw). Used to rotate the 5 of them every 10,000km, but have been lazy lately. Still got plenty of tread and I expect to see them hit 100,000km. For what I paid, they've been great value. Even better at 4 for 3.

I noticed a slight decrease in economy, but nothing too bad.

The useless trip meter thing rarely drops below 10.xx now (not that I actually rely on that), were as before it would regularly dip into the low 9's.

I'd say I may be about 20-30 km less per tank than before, on average... never bothered calculating it properly.
