Found a set of rims with some BFG ATs on them(not much life left in the rubber though)

The bloke thinks the rims are 0 offset. Now i assume that this will mean the wheel will protrude further out from the hub mounting point correct ?

Is a 0 offset going to work on a triton ? or will it cause issues with handling, scrubbing etc ?

Tyres that are on the rims at the moment are 265/65/17
Same size will be going back on when they need to be replaced

If you have standard rims the offset is +38mm. If you go to zero offset the edge will sit out 38mm further than stock.

Plenty on Facebook run zero offset and seem happy. (Many of them don't seem to have much idea. As long it looks good)

If you read about suspension design a 38mm change is too much and will effect handling. It is also illegal in many states. It will also put more stress on suspension components and ball joints.
YMMV
+25 rims and 265 make the edge of your tyres line up with the flares.

A 265 tyre on a 0 offset rim will protrude by about 20mm roughly

Agreed.

This is +20mm offset with a 265 tyre. You might squeeze another 5mm and still keep the edge of the tread inside the wheel arch, but it would be close.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

can any one tell me what the perfect off set rim size is for an 05 mk glxr to get the tyres flush with the flares
was thinking neg 10 16x7 as the standard alloys are pos 10 16x7 this will bring wheels out 20mm anyone know??

Going from +10 to -10 offset will move the edge of the rim out 20mm (same width rims)
