The max size you could probably go with no lift is a 39inch on a 20x10 rim with a +600 offset

for 16 inch wheels 285/75 will just fit with a high offset say +40 , might need some guard trimming. 265/75 will go straight in. what UAV is trying to say is... "search is your friend".

As for a serious reply. 265s no worries. 285s minor rubbing. And you can run a 255/85 which is bigger at 33.3 with minor rubbing also as I am running this size in a maxxis bighorn.

Also std offset for Triton is +38

Must be good to get away from the 15" pram wheels mate ;)

I think the 285s depend on what type of tyre you get... Mines lifted and they still rub but if you maybe just had a set of a/t or h/t you might be ok

Thanks Chris for pointing this post in the right direction.

The answers will be elsewhere in that search result thread so I am now locking this one.

315/75/16 on Factory alloys?

Postby bstob1 on Wed May 25, 2022 1:22 pm

Hi there,

I have a 15 MN Triton dual cab, I am about to replace my old tired original suspension out for a set of 2" king coil fronts and 2" efs 350kg rears. I am currently running 265/75/r16 on my factory 16" alloys (glx so i believe 7" wide). Along with this lift i am also adding 2" on the body.
by the way if anyone knows the cab mount bolt size that would be great saves taking one out and bringing to the bolt shop.

My main question is can 315/75/r16's fit on the factory rims, I believe from searching this forum the offset on them is +38. I really don't want any poke on them, I know this my be not possible with such a large tire however i thought it wont hurt to ask.

If it ends up being to much drama might just go to 285/75/16.

cheers :D

If you go to the online manual you will find all the info you need on mounting points and bolts.

http://faq.out-club.ru/download/l200_20 ... dex_M1.htm

I would imagine that running 315's you will get lots of guard rubbing, but really, why so big, 265's more than adequate and no real drama's, not to mention the impost on your fuel economy. The other thing to consider is the legalities, don't be involved in any serious accidents as 315's will be well outside legal mod, insurance company will probably also laugh in your face for any accident claims.
No matter, good luck.

bstob1, the short answer is "no, they won't fit on the standard wheels and with the standard offset".

With a 2" suspension and 2" body lift there is an outside chance that they might fit, with some surgery to the front wheel arches and different wheels, but you'd be way illegal and the gearing would be so tall that it would be next to impossible to drive, not to mention that the extra unsprung weight will affect braking as well. Getting it engineered might be possible but I don't like your chances if it has ASC.

As above, 285s are about the practical limit.

I've moved posts here because we don't want yet another tyre thread.

Thanks for the reply's guys, I did have my doubts but thought maybe someone had done it before. 285's will be the go i think, On the plus side they are cheaper anyway.

On a side note, And i may upset some people by mentioning this. When topics are merged into one thread even though they are a related subject it makes it hard to find information via the search function. I understand the want to keep the forum clutter free though.

cheers.
