Some interesting measurements ...
245 70 16 Bridgestone D840 Tyre and Alloy Rim 23 K.G.
245 70 16 D840 Tyre (Half worn) 13 K.G.
16 inch standard Alloy 10 K.G.
BF Goodrich 255 70 16 (half worn) 21 K.G.
Steel Rim(7`) Standard spare & new tyre
29 K.G.
Steel Rim 16 K.G.
I Clearly need to get an interest!
Measurements were taken to keep weight in mind for planning a very long trip.
ie. Alloy rims over steel will save 6 K.G each.
Take a pair of levers for 2nd spare with tyre only (no Rim) will cut 10 K.G(alloy) . to 16 K.G(steel) .
Interesting to note the higher quality Bf Goodrich weighs 8 K.G`s more than the standard tyres.
Correct me if any math is wrong
Cheers
