Just a quick one, new to this whole car lingo but willing to learn, if I go with 16x8" sunnies and 265/75/16s that would fit inside the guards and not rub taking into consideration I haven't lifted the suspension (yet). I have a MY15 Dual cab MN triton if that makes any difference
Hi all, Wanting to clarify a suitable wheel from the list. Ive just obtained a 2011 GLR with a 40mm lift. Wheels and tyres are stock.
I intending on putting 265/70R16 on the car. I am tossing up whether to leave the stock alloys on it (16/7) or try and find a second hand set of 16x8's. I'd prefer alloys to minimise the negative effect on breaking - but if steelies are the only way - then so be it. From reading through this post, a +20 to +25 offset would be suitable to keep the tyres within the guards. Does anyone know of a factory alloy that has the correct offset?
From reading, it seems that GU patrols are only around +10 and Landcruisers are zero.
I did do that, and all the other 196 replies and that lead me to search for the offsets of the wheels that I listed (from the first post).
The clarification I need is if there are any other factory alloys that would suit or even if the 16x8 rim is necessary for what I intend to do. I am slightly concerned that the +38 offset of the stock alloy may scrub out, even with the 40mm lift.
