Both American tyres so similar in many ways - harder compound, tend to chip and, if looked after, have potential for quite long life.
Personally, my one experience with BFG wasn't that good but I've had 3 sets of Coopers that have gone way above 100,000km.
What I have noticed is that some tyres seem to suit some vehicles more than others and the BFGs seem to go better on live front axle vehicles. Possibly because these suit the very square shoulders on the BFGs. On IFS a little less square seems to suit better. Another observation is that the BFGs don't clear as well as some other brands when in mud, probably due to the fairly rigid construction and shape of the tread blocks.
So, my vote would go to the Coopers. The problem with these straw polls is that you'll get equal numbers for your final contenders....and the odd vote for something that isn't on the list at all.
