Ultimate vs Enhanced 4wd suspension

Ultimate vs Enhanced 4wd suspension

Postby cryonicjason on Fri Jun 28, 2013 11:04 am

Need some advice guys.

Went into the local 4wd/tyre shop and asked about getting the glx-rs suspension upgraded. Given Ultimate is the bees knees according to NTN i told them thats what i wanted put on...

But they've never heard of them! I showed them the ultimate suspension website but werent too impressed about the 2year warranty on them, compared to the 3year/100,000km on EFS.

Anyway they gave me a brochure for EFS suspension to look at and they do look the goods.

Has anyone used EFS on their tritons before? They are willing to get the ultimates in, but not real keen as they've never heard of Ultimate before, which i think is understandable.

Not sure what to do.

All this tells me is that EFS spend more money on advertising than Ultimate.
I would go off word of mouth VS what you see in a catalog. There is a whole section put together on the Ultimate gear. If you do a search you will see that it is the preferred suspension package for Triton owners.

Go with efs and see what happens?

Mate if you don't believe what everyone on here says then dont ask the question again!
There is a reason why we ALL have Ultimate under our trucks!

After your 3 year warranty is up if it lasts that long (sag or break) they will charge you again for a whole new set, Ultimate rebuild their shocks.

Ultimate is the best suspension for your truck hence why we all have it! They customize it for what you want. Not like the off the shelf shit from everyone else!!!!!!!

Probably works for EFS.

You can figure out what is best and recommended from even a passing glance of the forum suspension thread. If you have to ask after that then you have already made up your mind or work for the other company and are stirring the pot.

This question has been asked before somewhere. EFS never gets a great wrap. What's going on with the reference to Elite suspension in the title anyway?

Thankyou- this is exactly the info i need to support my reasoning for originally wanting "ultimate" suspension.

Searching for Enhanced 4wd suspension came up with exactly one thread. How helpful.

Did they mention that Ultimate's warranty is 2yrs or 80,000km.... Whichever comes LAST!! (not first as is the norm)

At my current rate, my suspension will be covered for 5+ yrs ;-)
I'm not so good with the advice  ... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment???

Due to driving styles........
Yourself and geek have your own warranty periods called "null and void"
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything important, it's too late to stop reading it.

Ok guys thanks for your responses regarding EFS. Summary: no good lol. As I said in the OP I do want to fit ultimates, so no disrespect intended there. I should point out that I live in country sa so it's not like I can drive over to the guys at ultimate rofl.

Get it delivered to you and get someone local to fit it or if you're good on the tools have a crack at it yourself ;)
My ultimate kit is being shipped to Vic from Sydney at the moment, getting a local mechanic to fit it for me :D

Ok I'm coming up to my 35 year driving
And my triton is my tenth car
I've put new suspension in
most cars I've had with varying levels of success..
it's the cheapest and most cost effective performance mod (and enjoyable) you can do to a car/truck and I hate shity handling...
Ultimate by far has the best holistic custom approach to suspension....with back up and sales...second to none..period..
