Outback Armour Suspension

Postby arobbo67 on Sat Apr 12, 2014 4:48 pm

Hi, is anyone running the Outback Armour Suspension that Wolf 4x4 is selling? I did a search but only got info from Wolf 4x4 and threads on rear bars.

Hi Arobbo.

We've sold heaps of Amarok and Ranger/BT kits (and other vehicles) but only 2 Triton kits. Not sure if those 2 Triton owners are on this forum or not.

We actually stopped selling Tough Dog in favour of Outback Armour as we found their kits to be of higher quality in both build and ride.

It is hard to sell a new brand when there is minimal reviews out there, but every customer we have sold to has given us glowing reviews and yet to receive anything negative.

Often no news is good news, as generally people are quick to complain on forums, but not so quick to praise.

We are running OA suspension in our demo Wrangler and Amarok. Loving it!

Give us a call in the office on 07 3103 9125, and we'll help you get into one of the best kits on the market :)

I rate Outback Armour. Been on an Dmax and a Ranger last year with OEM suspension and thought it was really comfortable. After switching to OA, the ride became outstanding, even with 20" wheels on which usually makes the ride rougher.

Just dragging up this old thread. Anyone running this gear yet? I know everyone will suggest Ultimate, but these guys are fairly local and the gear looks pretty good. ANYONE?

If the shop is local and the people seem knowledgeable about there product. Why not give them a go? Advice and after sales service plays a big part in how good a product is.

From what I've heard it's good gear but I don't know anyone running it.

I had it installed today and it seems really quality gear. A lot of R&D gone into it, comes with a full set of bushes and new bolts etc. Car handles amazing in comparison, well worth a look for the price point.

I got 50mm in the front. Hard to judge the rear though as I have an alloy tray and it already had an extra leaf in from stock. Sits nice and level.

I'd upload some pictures if I could work out how.

What did it measure to the guard after you fitted the lift? Also, could you get a measurement from the top of the axle to the top of the chassis rail?

585mm from centre of wheel to the guard at the front. Not sure about chassis rail.

Depends where you buy it from and who installs it. Under $2k fitted though.

I'm in Brisbane and bought it directly off Peter who is the design engineer for Outback Armour (peter@suspentune.com.au).

Otherwise they have distributors around the place. I know Hacketts Tyres do it for $1750 installed.
