centre bolt- question re: nut tightness

Postby DocBassett on Sat May 24, 2014 11:26 am

Hey guys, urgently wondering, how tight I need to do up the nut of the centre bolt? The bolt that located leaves to the diff? As tight as possible or should there be some play in it?
Cheers for any input. Half way through suspension mod now and need to know before I can progress

G`day Doc
It has to be tight mate as it also keeps the axle in place.
If it sheers the U bolts won`t stop the axle from moving
Any movement in the bolt and it will sheer .

They are longer. Yes im using a 2 inch lift. When I get on a comp I'll get you the measurements. With these I haven't gained much down travel, but a bit over 20mm whilst maintaining my height and up travel.
