Flat leaf springs

Leaf springs sagging?

Postby Danos on Tue May 15, 2018 9:05 pm

I noticed the rear leafs in my 2013 triton look to be sagging. It has an alloy tray and nothing extra bolted on. It was always really soft and would point the lights to the sky with modest load but to me it looks like the leaves are due for change?

Ignore the water on the shockie.

Time to talk to Ultimate.

I had to remove the water tank to reinstall the fridge slide after I "clipped it" on the garage wall driving in while the slide was hanging out the side of the car. Long long story...ha

I'll give them a call. Very tight for time though so might not be able to upgrade until after the trip.

I had the same problem about 4 months back. i ditched the OEM and upgraded with an Ultimate 2 inch lift.

saying it is the BEST THING i have ever done is an understatement.

If you have the cash, get ultimate, you will not be disappointed

Thanks for that but I am in SW WA so freight would be expensive. I spoke with Ultimate and their prices are good but I won't have enough time before we leave so will postpone it until we get back.

I'll just wind the headlights down before we leave.

Quick question for people, and excuse my ignorance.

If you get a set of 300kg constant load leaf springs, is it 300 per leaf pack, so a total of 600?
Or is it 300kg in total

Cheers

300kg in total. The Triton would be groaning with an extra 600kg in the back.
Chris

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Ive just fitted load plus helper springs and they seem like they will do you job nicely. If I replaced the leaves I would have to do the springs and I can't justify a $2000 suspension upgrade.
