With Dobinsons constant load kit - centre of wheel to wheel arch:
Front 575mm
Rear 650mm

Overall height to top of ARB canopy rack: 2050mm
Overall height of ute to top of shovel holder on canopy rack: 2100mm

There goes my ability to park in most underground carparks

Put 5mm packer plates on top of the struts yesterday and just 5mm gave a 13 mm approx lift :o

Was looking for approx this much to get back what I've lost due to spring sag over the last 12 months  so very happy with the results.
PS Just went and checked it after a run to town and it has settled at 10 mm which is what it should be I believe

No pics sorry mate but did take a template of them so I can do more if need be. ;)

rick I just measured the size needed for a plate to sit on top of the strut then got a mate in town who has a cad laser cutter to cut them out off 5mm plate then sprayed them with cold galv. :)

Maximum thickness would be 10 mm due to the strut top plate stud length .

Just measured mine
hub to wheel arch
635 mm rear
605 mm front
ground to wheel arch
1015 mm rear
975 mm front

All i run is snake racing extended shackles and 35mm spacers
all the shocks are ironman and i have a 70mm longer rear brake line
It's easier to get forgivness than permission.

Ok just put my dobinsons coils (constant load) sitting on tough dog strut.

I currently have ARB delux bar (no winch yet) sitting bang on 595 both sides

I have had the Dobi leafs (med) on for a few weeks - still got standard shackles and the rear is loaded with gear tools and camping gear and sitting at 630.

FR 595
R 630

Took it for a quick play at the back of heathcote and man the front is a bit stiff hopefully the winch will change things up there.

Also does any one know if the Dobi shackles are any longer than the factory.

Dobi's greaseable shackles are the same length as the stockers

Dobinsons Kit, (C43-188 front springs) with 10mm spacers on top of front struts - 2000km since install:
DF= 580mm - PF= 580 - DR= 645 - PR=650mm

(C43-190 springs are apparently 10mm taller than the C43-188)

Hey Dylan, I have the linear rate (C43-188) fronts, and the medium duty (L43-015R) rears

Straight after install of the Dobinsons kit:
DF: 570
PF: 570
DR: 630
PF: 630
After 12,000km
DF: 565
PF: 565
DR: 635
PR: 622
I have installed the second battery on the passenger side directly above the rear spring. I wouldn't have thought it would make this much difference though. :?: It's starting to sound like Buzzy's.
Overall, very happy and hasn't settled too much at all

It DOES get confusing, as the current Dobinson's PDF show only two front springs - the standard height, and these linear rate springs.

Maybe the taller (10mm) C43-190 are what they call constant load fronts? I was advised if I wasn't fitting a winch/dual batts up front then these were the ones for me

Yep, he knows his stuff, and I probably didn't ask enough questions while I was there getting my gear - I think I was too excited about all the shiny new bits

I need some input from you guys and would appreciate any response:

I have OME suspension front and back.

Measures 600 front and 610 Back when loaded with all my camping gear - centre of rim to wheelarch.

My question is with regards to rollover degrees when riding on an angled road. I know the spreading of load - heavier items low and minimum on the roof of the cab and canopy plays a huge role - but would you guys say that the lift (ride height) I have would be avarage for all makes of ute's doing offroad or am I too high (I actally mean the ute)

I'm asking this as I got very nervous on a trip I did in the beginning of April which needed some sloped driving and I wondered where my limit was as it sometimes felt I was pushing my luck. Other ute's do drive this 4x4 track and I reckoned if my height is'nt above the avarage ute height it would be safe to drive - but if my lift (ride height) is too high my vehicle can easily roll over. ---- Also a factor to increase drive height is the BFG 265 70's I fitted ?

jan.dup,
Looking at your pics mate I dont realy think you have anything to worry about.
However it all depends on how much angle you are talking about. These utes are just as good (prob better ;) )than any others on the market atm so as long as you take it easy it should be all good. Can you give us some pics of what you were driving??
