Thanks Dave I might give them a call and have a chat, I already had all the heavy stuff on the front before I ordered the suspension (bullbar, winch) but as Har05l said his sits round this height.

Just remeasured mine:
Front both 555mm
Rear driver 625mm
Rear passenger 640mm
Rear driver is where my fridge and battery are.
And full fuel tank.
Been in for well over a year now after getting it adjusted to suit my new camper.

Yep I'm happy with that.

i had a bulbar added after i got my ultimate sue installed and now have a winch orders, after that goes in I'm sure ill need to raise the front, How does the raised seat for the spring work?
Im assuming that if ultimate supply this it wouldn't be just a spacer.
Ill ring them to find out if I need new springs or just the spacer.
Anyone else have one of these spacer things put in?

I don't think it's a spacer as such. It's like a collar that goes around the shock at the bottom of the spring? Looks a bit like the base of the strut on the monster rides items? Am I showing my lack of knowledge here? No doubt I am. Anyway it meant that I was able to keep the same shocks and springs but got my height back. They sussed it out first to make sure the spring would still be suitable for the weight and it was. Made it cheaper I expect than it would have been to get new springs.

Hi all what is the highest lift u can get before u pull out the bump stops. Someones saying 4inch on fakebook. And also dobsons make a 4inch lift coil I called bs what would be the measurement of the hub to guard with 4inch lift.

I have the heaviest dobbinson spring
Now if you didn't have a bull bar (or light weight xrox) and no winch you could get 4" but it would ride real harsh
I could get 3" with bar and winch with a coil spacer (different to a strut spacer) but at the cost of cv's when driving off-road, lots of difference if cruising a mall and doing it for looks

That is a point to remember in all these sorts of my lift is bigger than yours, if your never going to put it into 4x4 lots more is possible

I remember in the early days of the forum seeing big Thai lifted trucks but when looking close the cv's were disconnected

With the bump stops in but ? I run dms at 2.5 cause at 3 was touching the bump stops but I will keep it at 2.5 because of the cvs. And clearance too the bump stop for ride quality.

Nah I was being subjective it could be done, have no idea I'm regard to the bumpstops

I was at 600mm, that was high enough to break 3 cv's

Might not be bs on the cvs. Geek managed to buy a pair from some bloke on Facebook. They look stronger but he hasn't stuck them in yet.

Just measured my ride heights
Front - 673mm was 678 but just fitted an xrox bar
Rear - 710mm
Yes of course I have a body lift :D
Just had my inner cv boots replaced after hitting the 100k mark drivers side had a nice split in it and the passengers was just getting a split - my mech who is a 3 diamond trained mech inspected the cv's and they are in mint condition no binding marks or anything ! Happy days .
Now awaiting a friend who is a fabricator "Radius" to make a custom set of UCA's and a our own drop diff section (only chasing 30-40mm drop to flatten out the cvs ) just need a standard UCA and Lh/rh diff link bracket if anyone in Brisbane has these lying around that maybe lent to make this possible ?

Just measured mine. Only did 2 wheels though. One front and one back. This is how it is when I bought the car. I love it. Just need some 33's to fill the space. Also need to lift the front some more to even it out a bit.

At 590mm (from center of rim to guard). You should be on or very close to being on the bump stops. No more lift to be had.

Hi all,

I've a GLX with standard front springs with ultimate shocks. Rear has ultimate springs (I believe they were a heavier duty as I tow a bit) and ultimate shocks. I mention GLX as I'm told the flares on olther models make a difference :?:

FR570
FL570
RR640
RL610

Anyone have similar experience of the difference between heights in the rear? The springs are probably only 4 months old. I dont load the tray up with anything major - its not a work ute or anything like that. Bugger all weight in the tray. A small plastic tool box, ropes and a small compressor. An awning on the passenger side, which may explain a small difference. 30mm I would have thought is a fair difference.

Not sure on the impact of the flares but this was posted tonight in another thread:

ultimate wrote:I wouldn't be suprised if it's too high in the front. You should always have the front around 40mm lower than the rear when empty.
