just got a quote on the ironman kit, $1350 from tyrepower, supplied, fitted, alignment too.

Dobinsons kit fitted, two different quotes $1980 and $1950

so unless anyone can tell me why i should go dobinsons over ironman and pay an extra $600, i would love to hear it.

otherwise, do you reckon its a good deal :-)

I'm sure I've posted this before but at the risk or repeating myself, ring dobinsons themselves and get a quote including shipping.

Fitting should run you around $300

Hey Aust, yea i did already, they told me to contact their supplier over here, same thing they say everytime. i asked what the kit retailed for as i thought i was being over charged.
this was the response

Attention Jason

As Malaga Springs is our Western Australian Distributor we agree with the price he has quote you. In fact with the cost of freight, I would have expected the price to be more.

The price that he has quoted, is better than we could supply you if the goods were freighted from here. It is not possible to match Pedders’ Prices. We believe that our product is superior.

Regards

Ray

For what is worth I got the Iron Mans with upgraded shocks and greasable shackles from ballarat Toyota fro about $800 all up. Best quote for Dobsons was $1200 from Dobinsons in Sydney. Dobsons themselves could supply a set for $1500, but told me it would be cheaper to get them from one of their suppliers.

Ive been told i can get the dobinsons kit over here for $1300 (thanks AB), just have to find a mob to do it, either way its still gonna be $250 cheaper to go ironman, plus i got them snake racing coil spacers in the shed that they can put on at the same time maybe.

i think at the end of the day its always gonna be more in perth due to shipping, i reckon i'll go ironman 8-)

Do those 285 coopers fit alright on the standard wheels. i got told you need a least a 8 inch rim when i asked so i thought i would have to buy new rims as well. but if they fit ill be keeping the stock mags on new tyres

tell me if this could work??

30mm Coil Spacers in the Front with Ironman Coil/Structs = 80mm In the Front

Extended Shackels in the Rear with Reset Leaf Pack = 80mm in the Back...

Can this work? Or will i have problems with chamber alignment in the front??? Seems like a good idea if we can get 80mm lift!!!8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Might be hell on your CV joints. I would'nt bother. 50mm is plenty.

I agree. Without dropping the transfer case down etc 50mm suspension is on the limit perhaps even past it until you get a caster wedge in there.

What size tyres are you running?

Stock at the moment but i wanna run 305/70R16 or 285/75R16 either one! But i have been told that Ironman send out a 40mm lift kit but its actually around 65-80mm this is from a dealer here in Hervey Bay...(Bob's Bridgestone) there is a black one going round the bay with the same kit, and it looks massive...i thought it had 3" bodylift....but i was informed it was just the suspension kit...

$1200 and the kit is mine!
