Dahl 65 and priming

Postby jcee on Fri Feb 07, 2014 12:43 pm

Hi All,

I know via the search function that some of the members are/were using the Dahl 65 units, my question is do you need to priming bulb or is it safe enough to fill'em with fuel after a filter change?

I'm debating between this and the fuel manager/racor/stanadyne units, leaning to the Dahl due to the space saving.

For the Baldwin Dahl 65:
Crack the bleed screw on the top of the housing and then pump the Mitsi plunger until fuel weeps from the bleed without any bubbles.
Close off the bleed screw and then pump the plunger until it goes firm.
Then you're away.
