mn fuel tank

Postby triton_guru on Wed Apr 15, 2015 7:17 pm

Ive been wondering about a way of having a bigger fuel tank but not one that sits low, this got me thinking does the mn fuel tank bolt directly to where the ml fuel tank goes? Reason i ask is because i believe the mn fuel tank holds around 10lts more than the ml? Anyone with info on this would be great, i know 10lts isnt alot but with my economy it will get me atleast 80kms more and i do alot of long distance driving :-)

Dave is correct, both are 75l. ;-)
Have you ever ran your tank dry?
I can also confirm that the ML tank fits into a MN, both are same apart from the MN tanks not having a drain plug.

When my fuel light comes on I can get another 70km until bone dry. This is whilst towing. I then pump the 71 litres from my second tank (altererd Triton tank) and it is still not quite full. So what I am trying to say is once the fuel light is on you have used approx 60-65 litres.

Na always tried my best to avoid running it dry, at how many litres remaining does our fuel light come on then? Surely not with 10l still in?

When my light comes on I have about 15 litres left but I'm sure I've read somewhere it is designed to come on at 13 litres. Kwijibo put 77 litres into his recently. Conked out as he entered the service station driveway apparently.
