Superweak induction hose

Postby dieselweasel on Tue Dec 08, 2015 1:00 pm

Hi gang, has anyone ever used one of these? Or know if they are of decent quality? If they are not, could you give me the heads up for an alternative. Im thinking of redirecting the air intake somehow, im still not convinced a snorkel would suit the look of my vehicle seeing as its a 2wd road runner.

Let me know what you think

Update, I'll probably only need it for a couple of slight bends. The flexibility will help me out

Superweak induction hose

This was setup on my old ute, over rad best place. You are still at mercy of ambient air temp and heat soak but once moving iat goes down quickly.

In the triton case stick with factory, throw a k&n in and that's about it. Look at a tune also

Shoe horn that plant into the Triton.

Don't use NY corrugated plumbing, it will disrupt the air flow.

Don't use this stuff for a permanent set up, it is flimsy and won't last.

The silicon bends and straight lengths are cheap and will go the distance.

Thought about using a bonnet scoop from an MK or (dare I say it) Hilux ?

Hi salt, theres a thread about k&n filters on this forum that goes into a bit more detail of why I was asking about this hose, it's a good read, its made me not want to use something like this. I don't think I could have trusted it anyways and I knew it deep down. I had concerns about the standard intake and its capabilities but now it I feel a lot better about it thanks to the good advice of the members on this forum.
