P0183 code

Hi all, had the triton 2.5 diesel throw the above code yesterday , fuel temp , have reset , anyone had this code and isolate the issue , i did wonder as i had just put a injector cleaner in it a couple of 100ks ago if that may have tripped it , all connections seem fine , only had it for 10 days so Ive only done 400 odd ks , no other symptoms

Hello Ozi' , what part of the country are you?

Was it hot, were you going up a steeper run and was the tank pretty low?

The a percentage of fuel is continuously circulating from the injectors back to the tank, which will gradually heat up the juice. Some vehicles actually have a small cooler in the return fuel line to reduce this problem.

That's why it's advisable to always have a few litres of fuel in the tank, apart from the fuel system lubrication aspect.

Hi , it was driving home about a 18k trip happened midway (brissy) slow traffic , tank round half full , probally round mid 20's outside so not hot
