2020 Triton : reluctant fuel release lever

Postby themunit on Fri Oct 23, 2020 1:09 pm

Hi all,

I've got a new Triton, 2020 model, dual cab.

The fuel release level under the steering wheel only opens the fuel door if I really give it a good yank, to the point that I feel it's going to break if I pull it much more.

Is there an adjustment screw or something to change this? I could take it to a service centre, but if it's a simple fix, I'll do it myself.

It's a minor problem but I worry that one day I'll be stuck in the middle of nowhere unable to put fuel in the tank!

Thanks a lot,

Moray

Go to your dealer, they have a fix for it. Do not try to fix it yourself, if you damage something it will be rejected for warranty

Just take plenty pics of the areas they're likely to work around, to verify nothing else has been damaged in the process.

its a very simple fix, takes no more that about 5 minutes. No tools needed.
